Much of the work that makes Florida habitable today was carried out by researchers of the DOH. The 3/4" glass tile mosaics complement the carved slate text that makes up the rest of the image.

Note the 2' x 7' carved slate panel on the side wall. Because each of the balcony murals is out of reach, a section of text was added to the side wall for people to touch.
