Early exploration and navigation was the theme for this
piece. Fifteenth century paintings of constellations were
interpreted in mosaic tile, and then rendered as broken
sections of the originals. Linked ribbons of stainless steel
connect the pieces and fill the wall, reminiscent of the
scroll work often found in illustrated books of that period.
